At Lewes Cliffe fair the fhew ot fhecp and lJambs were unuſvaliy great, be number was eltimated at thirty thouland, aad ready purchaicrs would have been found for at leaſt ten thouſand more, as but few of the jobbers could get ſupplied w'ta the numbers they had commitllions for: Two-tootla wethers fetched thirty fbillings- Four-tootHi ditto from thirty-two to forty illings. Zwes trom twenty-Äfve to thirty Mhillings. Lambs from fitteen to twenty-five hillings-. Thoſe who ſold in the torenoon regretted their contraCs, as the prices after dinner were from two to four Ihiulings per head higher. The Duke of Clarence was at the fair, and converled! amiliar- 1y with leveral of vur principal Southdown farmers-

Reading fair, on Scptember 28, was welk ſupplied with cheeſe. A few prime Jairies were ſold in the morning at hixty Ihillings 3; but in the aſter- noon, ſhe prices were from fity hillings to fifty x ISE and half coward from forty ſhillings to torty-four Ihillings per hundred weight.--- About ſixty tons(out of ncar four hundred and fitty) remained unlold But little old cheele, wnich tetched a great price.

Chertſey, Sept. 26- We bad a large fair yeiterday; many good horles, particularly of the black cart(EI of ſuperior ſtreng h and bcauty, were Sewn, which did not tetch the prices the dealers expected.

The general prices of chceſe at Northampton fair, were; from fifty ſhillings to ſixty Mhillings per hundred weight.

At Stirbitch fair, the prices of cheeſe were, Derhy ſixty-five ſMillings to ſixty-eight Miilings; ingle Glouceſter, ſixty-five Miliings to hixty- eight Millings; and Coeihire, ileventy ſhillings to cight-four Mhillings per hundted weight. Cottenham;, Ave illings and ten-penct to ſeven Mhillings per ſtone, of fſcurteen pounds» There was but a mall quantity ot new hops, moſtiy of an inferior DU tor which the current price was ten ZUIEE per hun- dred weight. he Ihow of horles was tolerably large, for the beſt ot whica high prices were MARGE

At Workfſop fair there was a very large ſhow of heep, and many buyers attended. Ulefal ſtock of eve ery deſcription was ready jale at their full value.
