258) TO CORRESPONDENTS.

T has given us particular pleasure, to find that ze node of our late decision, and the cäution with which it Was accompanied, has given a Satisfaction to our readers, which it will always be our bighest gratification to merit, and from which we cannot fail to promise ourselves an ad- dition t6 tlie utility of our work.

The French publication, on, Watering Meadows, about which Practicus enquires, has not yet come to our hands. If he will favour us with the loan of his copy, we Shall give it an immediate examination, and cause it to be care- fally returned--as we Shall tbe works of any other agri- cultaratl author, who hall favour us in the Same way.

It was our intention to have embellished our number two or three months back, with an accurate portrait of the Merino Sheep, büt that we had not obtained a satis- factory drawing. The hint of Agricola Norfolciensis, on the Subject, will, however, stimulate our endeavours.

"Shöuld any of our readers be in PosSesSION of one, from

the King's, or any other pure.flock, we hall thank him for its ufE, and return it uninjured.

A recent error; in the title of a correspondent's paper, induces us ta request an explanation for that purpose, of any complicated Subject.

A very Small part of the manuscript, of a Novice, was omitted, for reazons with which if not entirely ebvious, he will be easily satisfied,

We have to apologize also to MrFLawrence, for aflix- ing his name to what was merely an extract, we had made from his late work. The mistake happened ir a press of, Business.;
