PROGEEDINGS OF AGRICULTURAL, SOCIETIES.

At a general meeting of this Society, heid at Swafham,] "Ta80, WILLIAM CoPz, Eſq. Preſident. The following premiums were voted, for the encouragement of Agriculture in- Norfolk:

Firf!1.--A piece of plate, value 20 Se» to any perſon who ſhall con Yert the greateſt number of acres(not leſs than aine) into Water Meadows, in the moſt complete manner, between July 1804, and July 1805. Notice of the claimants to be given on or betore the meeting of the Committee, pre- Yious to the anniverſary 1 in 1805.

Second.--A piece of plate, value 10 guineas, to any perſon who ſhall con vert the greateſt number of acres(not leſs than four) into Water Meadow, in the moſt complete manner, between July 1804, and July 18095. Notice of claimant to be given as above,

Third. A piece of plate value 5 guineas, to any perſon who ſhall produce upon his farm, in March 1395, the greateſt number of acres,(not leſs thaa ten) of Turnips, prote&ed and preſerved in the cheapelt and beit manuer.

Notice from claimants to be given on or before the meeting of the Com- Mittee, previous to the general meeting in Feb. 1805.

Fourth.--A piece of plate, value 10, to any perſon who ſhall un- derdrain the greateſt number of acres, in the cheapetßt and molt effe&ual man- ner, between July 1834, and Jnly 1805. This premium is offered provided no claim'is made for the premium voted laſt year. Notice from claimants t5 be given on or before the mecting of the Committee, previous to the anniver- Ged in 1895.

Fifth,-A piece of plate, value 10 guiveas, to any perſon who ſhall haws growing, in the year 1806, the beſt piece of Lucerne, upon. not leſs than three acres. Notice from claimants to be given on or before the meeting of the Committee, previous to the general meeting in February 1806.

Sixtb.--A piece ot plate, Sen io guineas, to any perſon who ſhall hays growing, in the year 1806, the beit piece of Saintfoin, not leſs than twenty

acres, Allſo a piece of PlRtG value 10 guineas, to any perſon who ſhall have

growing in the year 1806, rhe beſt piece ot Saintfoin, upon not leſs than 14 acres. Notice from EE GEE to be given on or before the mecting of the Committee, previous to the anniverlary in 1306.

Vor the Encouragement of Breeding Sheep zn Norfolk.

To thoſe perſons who ſhall produce at the general meeting, in February H3558 ten of the beſt hearling wethers, fed with vegetable food only, of te Leiceſter, South Down, or Norfolk breeds, for each ten of the reſpettive breeds, being the beſt in EEE a piece of plate, of leven guineas valuc, or being the» ſecond beſt, or without competition, of five guineas valne.

N. B. Theſe wethers mult not have been ſeletted from their flocks, move than ten days before the meeting, and muſt have been bred by the perſons

who produce them. Notice fro m claimants, to be given on or before the meeting of the Committee, previous to the general meeting in February.

The Committee meet one month before each general meeting, and all DI9- tices of claims muſt be delivered.to the Secretary in Writing.
