Alſo, For every article of merchandize, whether ſubje& to any Duty of cuſtoms or not, and which ſhall be(hipped withia the Dock premiſes, there ſhall be colle&ed and paid a rate or duty, not exceeding the rate or charge heretofore uſually paid in the port of London, tor ſhipping of every ſuch article, during the year one thouſand ſeven hundred and ninety-eight.

Veſſels laden with tobacco(rice not the produce of the Ea er Weſt Indies), wine, or brandy, to unload their cargoes at the docks. Veſſels may lie to unload within the dock for fix weeks; upon payment of#d. per ton, for two weeks more; and #d. for every further week. Compenlſations are ſettled for tythes, ſurplus fees, land-tax, poor-rates, ſewer-rates, and to the pro- prietors of preſent quays rendered leſs valuable by the docks. Governors of Chriff?s hoſpital to be indemnified for any loſs poſſibly reſulting from diminiſhed car-roons.+ Lord Gwydir's claim for the mooring-chain leaſe to be aſcertained and tompenſated. The ſtatement of progreſs in making the London docks to be laid be fore parliament annually. After proper ena@ments concerning nuiſances, combuſtible materials, and all outrages againſt the property in the docks, the a concludes by declaring itſelf a public at; that is, that it ſhall be noticed in âll law-proceedings, without any party being compelled fpecially to plead the ſaid a&.

+ Car-roons means the numbers affixed to all carts,&c. plying within

the bills of mortality. There will be(perhaps) leſs land carriage on account of the docks.
