of the aſſeſſment by jury to be borne by the perſons applying for jt. Shadwell Water Works will be injured by the operations of the company; therefore they are to pay 50,000/. compenſation and purchaſe money of thoſe Water-works. Tenants at will of houſes purchaſed by company to quit in ſix months. Bargains and ſales to have the force of Fines and Recoveries. Money muſt be paid, or tendered, before any uſe made of the Premiſes.*

The Docks are to be completed within ſeven years; their leaſt depth to be within fifteen inches of low water-mark, which is to be determined by two elder Brothers of the Trinity Houſe. To defray the great expences in making and providing theſe Docks, the company are empowered to take the following rates 5

Firſt ClaſsFor every ſhip or veſſel, including colliers trad- ing coaſtwiſe between the port of London and any port or place in Great Britain, Orkney, Shetland, or the Weſtern Iſlands of Scot- land, for every ton, one ſhilling.

Second ClaſsT'o or from Treland, the Iſle of Man, Guernſey, Fer ſey, the coaſt of France, from Ufhant to Dunkirk, the coaſt of Flanders, Holland, Germany, and Denmark, from Dunkirk to below Elfineur to the North Cape, for every ton, one ſhilling and three-pence,

Third ClaſsT'o or from Elfineur, and to and from all ports and places whatſoever in the Baltick, Archangel, Onega, and all ports and places to theeaſtward of the North Cape, for every ton, one ſhilling and ſix-pence. i

Fourth ClaſsTo or from France to the ſouthward of Ufhant, the coaſts of Spain and Portugal to the northward of Cape Saint Vincents, Newfoundland, Madeira, the Canaries, the Azores, for every ton, one ſhilling and nine-pence.

Fifth ClaſsT'o or from all ports or places in Europe to the ſouthward of Cape Saint Vincents, all ports and places within the ÄMediterranean, Africa, North America, South America, the ſouth- ern Whale fiſhery, Hudſon's Bay, for every ton, two ſhillings.

Sixth ClaſsT'o or from all ports or places in the Eaft Indies, China, Perfia, and to and from all other ports or places whatſo- ever not herein-before named, for every ton, two ſhillings and úix-pence.

Alſo, For every Article of Merchandize, whether ſubject to any Duty of cuſtoms or not, and which ſhall be landed within the Dock premiſes, there ſhall be colle&ed and paid a rate or duty, not exceeding the rate or charge heretofore uſually paid in the port of London, for landing, loading, and houſing of every fuch article, during the year one thouſand ſeven hundred and ninety-eight.
