¹) Eine genaue Inhaltsangabe dieses»außerordentlich reichhaltigen Lesebuches« bietet R. Wülker, a. a. O.,§ 133, der auch die übrigen Titel der Werke Klipsteins angibt(§ 149). Klipstein führt in jedem Falle seine Quelle genau an. Außer F. W. Ebelings Angelsächsischem Lesebuch (Leipzig 1847; vgl. R. Wülker, a. a. O., S. 82) und Rasks Grammatik handelt es sich ausschließlich um englische Vorlagen. Das Buch ist seine bedeutendste Leistung; es trägt die Widmung:„To Augustus von Klip- stein, Ph. D., Professor of Mineralogy and the Art of Mining in the Uni- versity of Giessen.. these volumes are enscribed, with Sentiments of the highest regard.“
