It will be gratifying to our readers to receive an accurate account of the weights,&c. of-the Holderness prize Sheep, which hav&: been 3hewn and killed at Hedon and Hull within the Jast month.

This competition was entered into in consequence of an advertise- ment announced inthe Agricultural Magazine of a few months back, viz. A Subscription of two guineas each to Shew the best wether Shearings at the Holderness Agricultural Society, held onthe 2d Dec, next; to be bred in Holderness, and fed on hay and green food, to be Slaughtered andexamined the 10oth Dec. by three persons nominated by the Society, who are to determine which is the most valuable Sheep; Skin, carcase, and tallow being taken ihto consideration: the best to have two thirds, and the Second-best one third, of the money Subscribed.
