To attract the fixed attention of a large and dispersed body of men, like that of the 4gricultural Interest of the Country,(380 necessary to that concentration of iwention and intelligence, which is the primary object of this work) is not the operation of a moment, but the patient attain» ment of years, Subject to various contingencies, and liable to constant interruption. Yet zt will be perceivable, by a reference to the following pages, that much has been done, although much remains to be effected.
