ANNIVERSARY of ihe W ESFMLINS FER LITERARY SOCIETY.
The Noblemen and Gentleinen of that moſt uſctul and fingular Inſtitucion, the Weſtminſter Library, met at theix anniverſary Dinner tor the prefent yéar, at the Thatched-Houſe Tavern, in St, James’s-Street, on Thurſday, the 8th ot April. Betweén one aad two húündred perlons were preſent. The evéníng was lpent in elegant, cheartul, and temperate conviviality, per- te&tly becomimg. The Earl of Moira, Preſident of the Society, prefided at the entertainment. In an eloquent and judicious Ípeech, after dinner,-he res minded the company of the purpoſes of the Inſtitution, congratulated them on its ſuccels, and encouragéd them to perſevere in improving, their eſtabliſhment, and.in availing themſelvés of its bznefits, Mr. Fitzgerald, whoſe poetry has beenaccuſtomed juitly fo admiration, repeated two beautiful fries of verſes ſuitable to the occaſion. Some good ſongs were ſang. And ſeveral new members were, upoH the nomination of former members, their friends, added to thé number of the Society. Between the hours of eight and nine in the evening,
