Sacramental Hymns.
Hast thou imparted to my soul A living spark of holy fire? O kindle now the sacred flame, Make me to burn with pure desire.
Impress upon my wandering heart, The love that Christ to sinners bore: Then mourn the wounds my sins produced And my redeeming God adore.
A brighter faith and hope impart. And let me now my Saviour see; O soothe and cheer my burden'd heart, And bid my spirit rest in thee.
Supplication for Mercy.
SHOW pity, Lord! O Lord, forgive! Let a repenting sinner live: Are not thy mercies large and free? May not the guilty trust in thee?
My crimes, though great, do not surpass The power and glory of thy grace; O wash my soul from every sin, And make my guilty conscience clean.
My lips with shame my sins confess, Against thy law, against thy grace: Lord, should thy judgment grow severe, 1 am condemned; but ou art clear.

Yet save a trembling sinner, Lord, Whose hope, still hovering round thy word, Would light on some sweet promise there, Some sure support against despair.
