Sacramental Hymns.

Invitation to the Sacrament.

JESUS invites his saints To meet around his board: Here pardoned sinners sit, and hold Communion with their Lord.

For food he gives his flesh He bids us drink his blood; Amazing favour, matchless grace Of our descending God!

Here we survey that love Which spoke in every breath; Which crown'd each action of his life, And triumph'd in his death.

Here let our pow'rs unite, His glorious name to raise: Pleasure and joy fill every mind. And every voice be praise.

And while we share the gifts His gracious hands bestow, Our hearts by Jesu's love inspired, With kind affections glow.

Let love inflame each breast, And dictate every thought; Be angry passions far removed, And selfish views forgot.

Invocation.

COME. Holy Spirit, calm my mind, And fit me to approach my God; Remove each vain, each worldly thought,
