GOD THE FATHER: ATTRIBUTES.

C.M.

Who is like Thee, glorious in holinessExod. 15. 11.

1 How glorious is our heavenly King,

Who reigns above the sky!

How shall a child presume to sing His dreadful majesty?

2 How great His power is, none can tell, Nor think how large His grace;

Not men below, nor saints that dwell On high before His face.

3 Not angels that stand round the Lord Can search His secret will; But they perform His heavenly word, And sing His praises still.

1 Then let me join this holy train, And my first offerings bring, The eternal God will not disdain To hear an infant sing.

5 My heart resolves, my tongue obeys, And angels shall rejoice

To hear their mighty Maker's praise Sound from a feeble voice,

The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth.Prov. 3. 19.

1 I SING the almighty power of God, That made the mountains rise; That spread the flowing seas abroad, And built the lofty skies.

2 I sing the wisdom that ordained

The sun to rule the day;

The moon shines full at His command, And all the stars obey.

3 1 sing the goodness of the Lord,

That fills the earth with food;

He formed the creatures with His word, And then pronounced them good.

4 Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed, Where'er I turn mine eye;

If I survey the ground I tread, Or gaze upon the sky!

5 There's not a plant or flower below, But makes Thy glories known; And clouds arise, and tempests blow, By order from Thy throne.

6 Creatures, as numerous as they be, Are subject to Thy care; There's not a place where we can flee, But God is present there.

Thou art great.- Psa. 86. 10.

1 ALMIGHTY God, who dwellest high, Where mortals cannot gaze

8

As Thou dost listen, let us try To sing a hymn of praise.

2 Angels adore Thee, and rejoiceSuch praise to Thee belongs:

But wilt Thou hear our feeble voice Amid their lofty songs?

3 Our thoughts are vain, our hearts are hard, And poor the thanks we pay;

Oh, how unworthy Thy regard

Is all that we can say.

4 Our feeble powers can never rise

To praise Thee as we ought;

For Thou art great, and good, and wise, Beyond our highest thought.

5 In heaven Thy glories, Lord, resound, And children join the song;

Oh, may I there at last be found, Among that happy throng.

6 There shall we better praises bring, And raise our voices higher; Angels will teach us how to sing, And we shall never tire.

I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.- Psa. 104. 33.

1 PRAISE, my soul, the King of heaven; To His feet thy tribute bring: Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven, Evermore His praises sing: Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

Praise the everlasting King.

2 Praise Him for His grace and favour To our fathers in distress; Pfaise Him still the same for ever, Slow to chide, and swift to bless: Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Glorious in His faithfulness.
