On Monday last, a very fine Show of Store or. lean'cows and Calves,» and pigs, working-oxen, and folding-Sheep took place at Bath, for the premiums offered by this SoCiely, After the judges had'examined the cattle, they adjudged to Mr. Billingby, the pre mium for the best yoke, or pair of working Devon oxen, four years old, who had, with four others, ploughed 300 acres of land within the year) 1805. To Mr. White Parsons, a prize of five guineas, for a' Devon cow and her offspring, there being no competitor

On Tuesday the annual meeting of the society took place at Hetling House, belonging to the Society, in Bath, and was yer» fülly attended. A letter was read from bis Grace, the Duke of 3edford, the prezident, Stating his inability to attend the meetings and requesting to withdraw from their chair. The meeting came to a resolution ro offer the vacant preSidentship to the Right Hon. Lord Somerville, but who declined that honour, on account of his other engagements interfering with the important duties of the of füce, on wliich Benjamin Kobhouse, Esq. was unanimously-and by acclamations elected preSident. Mr. Bartley, the Secretary, to This Society, gave in his resignation, and. Mr. Matthews, the late 5e cretary, atthe request of the meeting, undertuok the conduct o the businesy, until a new Secretary is elected,. It'was PpropoSed and agreed to, that the annual meetings in future, be'held on the frst Tuesday in December, instead/ oF the Second Tu!
