The ſhew ot horles at Beverly taiv, on June 6th. was a very poor 0nez the beit having been previouſly purchaſed, as uſual, by the dealers, at bigh prices. Thole of an interio. deſcription, were ſcarce ſaleable at any price, Fat cattle, ot whica 1he ſhew. was copfderable, ſold well.

Wool Fair.

At a Meeting of Wool Growers'of the county of Eſſex, and that part of Suffolk in the neighbourhood of Colcheſter, holden at Colchelter, on Saturday, June the 1ſt, 1805.

EDWARD WAKEFIELD, Eſq. in the Chair.-

It was reſolved, I hat in conſequence of there not being a fair or public market for wool, at or near Colcheſter, the growers are obliged, in that neighbourhood, to ſell it to a gertain limited number of cuſtomers, who are in(he habits of fixing their own price.

2dly, That the preſent 1yſfemot ſelling.it, at nearly the ſame rate pertb. for all qualities, does not" afford the due and adequate price to the Srower of wools of the beit quality.;

3dly. That in order to precure a fair market value to the fller, it is neceſlary to eſtabliſh a Wool Fair annually at Colcheſter, whoſe be yers from all parts of the kingdom, may have the 0pportuniry of attending, with 2 certainty ot finding a lufiicient quantity of wool to render it worth their attention 4

4thiy, That in order to eſtabjiih an annual wool-fair at Colcheſter, we whole names are hereunto[ubſcribed, engage. not to diſpoſe of our wools until Friday the 1gth=day ot July,(being tbe following Friday to the Yhettord and Harlow-buſh wool fairs), when we will attend at Colcheſter, and be willing to accept a fair market price, according to quality:

Stbhly. It is hoped that buyers in general will attend.the fair, as there 35 Do deſire to e(tabliſh a ſale for wool, upon any ether principle than thar of Procuxying its fair market value, and Mr. Daniel Blyth, of Colcheſter, wil2 find luſkcient warehoule room, and ſhipping tor any quantity which may be purchaled. 32

Schly. That we will endeavour: to procure the beſt information of. the ſtate ot the trade, and the demand for wool at the time ol the tair, and ſtate it to thole then prelent.

7thly. That it Ihould be recommended to the growers of wool, to ſend to the warehouſes Sf Mr. DanielBlyth, at Colcheſter, a Proportion of about one fleece in twenty of their growth of a fair average quality, previous t& the r1gth of July.;

8th. That a:Copy of theſe reſolutions ſhould remain at the bar of tbe White Hait Inn, Colcheſter.; and at Meilrs Meggy and Chalk*s, Chelms- ford, to receive the ſignaiures of ſuch wool growers as may. feel delirous of eitablifhing the fair.

9ihly. That a ſubſcription ef 55, each from ſuch perſons as are willing to give it, ſhall be paid to tbe laadl.rd of the Whitehart inn, Cclcheſter, ux order to detray the expences of auvertilements,.&&c. Sc.
