Reſolved, That all bounties upon zmportatioz are highly prejudicial, as tending on)y to encourage the growth of corn in other countries, at the charge of the revenue, and diſcouragement of the Agriculture of this kingdom.
Reſolved, That this Society do recommend, and will promote to thc utmoſt of its power, an immediate application to the legiſlature, of the land-owners and occupiers of this county, founded upon the principles, and diredted to the objectts of the toregoing reſolutions.
Reſolved, That copies of theſe Reſolutions be tranſmitted to the Board of Agriculture, and the different Agricultural Societies throughout Eng= land.

It was further reſolved, That Twenty guineas, preſented to the Society by Charles Callis Weſtern, Eſq. to be applied to the encouragement df in- duſtrious labourers, be given to ploughmen and boys, upon matches or trials of ſkill in ploughing, in four divifions of the county, as under, and according to the direttion of the gentlemen here mentioned:
