HE two following tables are uſed here invariably for Coals

and Grindſtones—each of the articles haye made this town famous—and have been the foundation of two Proverbs:“ Car- rying Coals to Newcaſtle,” is very general; and“A* Scot, a Rat, and 4 Newcaſtle Grindſione,’” being found all over the world, is little leſs ſo.—Preſuming that the following may afford informa- tion to ſome of your Commercial readers, I ſolicit a place for them in your very valuable Magazine.
