PHEMATERIALS which I collected, reſpecting theſe Mountain Tracts, were obtained in different ways.
What relates to CORN WALL, I ga- thered in an EXCURSION; undertaken kor the purpoſe of gaining ſome general ideas reſpecting this remote part of the Ifland.
But, with reſpect to DARTMORE, and its uncultivated Environs, the information I am poſſeſſed of aroſe INelDENTALLVY, without any premeditated plan of furvey.
