BUT, trusting not to generalargument, let us take an analytic view of the pro- posed institution, and point out its utility, more particularly, by examining it, in the separate characters of

1. A place of instruction, for pupils.

2. Improvement for. initiated

students.

3. Science, and general infor-

mation, for both classes.

4. Experiment, and general

improvement.

5, Dissemination of every part of the art and science.
