The Mare from which the original drawing was taken, is in her 22d year, notwithſtanding which the teeth are yet good, eyes clear, and perfectly ſound. It has been one of the beſt of ſervants, to its preſent maſter, for the ſpace of nineteen years.

MIXT BREED OF HOGS.

The Hog, an engraving of which js inſerted in this work, is a boar belonging to Thomas Wakefhßeld, Eſa. Brooke Farm, near Liverpool.‘There is a, mixture of the Chineſe and of the wild boar in this breed. Its chief properties are a large carcaſe, ſhort legs, ſmall entrails, and great weight of meat, in proportion ,to its ſize. DIMENSIONS. Feet. Mode of preſerving CREAM, for ſeveral weeks oc months; particularly calculated for ſca voyages.

AK E 12 ounces of white ſugar, and diſſolve it in ſome

ounces of water, over a moderate fire. After the ſugar is diſſolved, boil it for about two minutes in an earthen veſſel; after which add immediately 12 ounces of freſh cream, and mix the whole uniformly aver the fire: then ſuffer it to cool, pour it into a quart bottle, and cork it carefully. Keep it in a cool place, and it will continue ft for uſe for ſeve- ral weeks, or even months.
