EVENING.
Pilgrims here on earth and strangers, Dwelling in the midst of foes, Us and ours preserve from dangers; In Thine Arms may we repose, And, when life's sad day is past, Rest with Thee in heaven at last. Amen.
26 He shall give His angels charge over thee.“ 10D, Who madest earth and heaven,
Darkness and lighbt; Who the day for toil hast given, For rest the night; May Thine Angel-guards defend us, Slumber sweet Thy mercy send us, Holy dreams and hopes attend us, This livelong night. Guard us waking, guard us sleeping, And, when we die, May we in Thy mighty keeping All peaceful lie: When the last dread call shall wake us, Do not Thou our Gop forsake us, But to reign in glory take us With Thee on high. Amen.

hen other helpers fail, and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day; Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away; Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou Who changest not, abide with me.
J need Thy presence every passing hour;
Mhat but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power? Who like Thyself my guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, LoRp, abide with me.
I fear no foe with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness;
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory? I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.
Hold Thou Tay Cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom, and point me to the skies; Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows
flee; In life, in death, O Lonp, abide with me, Amen.
