MORNING.

4*HEis compassions fail not: they are neuv every morninh.

OQur wakening and uprising prove; hrough sleep and darkness safely brought, Restored to Hife, and power, and thought.

New mercies, each returning day,

Hover around us while we pray;

New perils past, new sins forgiven,

New thoughts of Gop, new hopes of heaven.

If on our daily course our mind

Be set to hallow all we find,

New treasures still, of countless price, Gop will provide for sacrifice.

The trivial round, the common task, Will furnish all we need to ask, Room to deny ourselves, a road

To bring us daily nearer Gop.

Only, O Lonp, in Thy dear love

Fit us for perfect rest above;

And help us, this and every day,

To live more nearly as we pray. Amen.

J EW every morning is the love

Whatsoever ve do, do all to the glory of God. Do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.

X FATHER, for another night Of quiet sleep and rest, or all the joy of morning light, Thy Holy Name be blest.

Now with the new-born day 1 givo Myself anew to Thee,

That as Thou willest I may live, And what Thou willest be.

Whate'er I do, things great or small, Whate'er I speak or frame,

Thy glory may I seek in all, Do all in JEsu's Name.

My FATHER, for His sake, I pray,

Thy child accept and pless; And lead me by Thy grace to-day In paths of righteousness. Amen.

6*Hold Thou me up, and I shall be safe: gea, my delight shall

de ever in Thy; statutes.

T Thy feet, O CHRTST, we lay A Thine own gift of this new day: oubt of what it holds in store Makes us crave Thine aid the more: Lest it prove a time of loss, Mark it, Saviour, with Thy Cross. (3)
