9 THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD, THE FATHER,
3 Oh may its lamp, through all the night Of life, make plain our way! Till we behold the clearer light Of an eternal day.
II. The Attributes of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

PSALM C. First Version.
1
ALL people that on earth do dwell, Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice: Him serve with fear, his praise forth tell, Come ye before him and rejoice. 2 The Lord ye know is God indeed; Without our aid he did us make: We are his flock, he doth us feed; And for his sheep he doth us take. 3 Oh! enter then his gates with praise: Approach with joy his courts unto: Praise, laud, and bless his name always; For it is seemly so to do.
L. M.
4 For why? The Lord our God is good; His mercy is for ever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood; And shall from age to age endure.

PSALM C. Second Version.
1 BEFORE Jehovah's awful throne, Ye nations, bow with sacred joy: Know that the Lord is God alone; He can create and he destroy.
L. M.
2 His sov'reign power, without our aid, Made us of clay, and form'd us men; And when, like wand'ring sheep, we stray'd He brought us to his fold again.
3 We'll crowd thy gates with thankful songs, High as the heavens our voices raise; And earth, with her ten thousand tongues, Shall fill thy courts with sounding praise.
