There let my way appear

Steps unto heaven;

All that Thou sendest me,

In mercy given;

Angels to beckon me

Nearer, my GOD, to Thee,

Nearer to Thee!

Then, with my waking thoughts

Bright with Thy praise,

Out of my stony griefs

Bethel I'll raise;

So by my woes to be

Nearer, my GOD, to Thee,

Nearer to Thee! Amen.

O HAPPY band of pilgrims, If onward ye will tread With JESUS as your Fellow, To JESUS as your Head,

O happy if ye labour

As JESUs did for men: O happy if ye hunger

As JESUs hungered then.

The Cross that JESUs carried He carried as your due: The Crown that JESUs weareth He weareth it for you.
