Accept my praises and thanksgivings for all thy mercies vouchsafed me in this life, and for the hopes of a better. And now that I am going to take my rest and sleep, let me consider that thou, Lord, only makest me to dwell in safety; whether I sleep or wake, live or die, let me be found thine own, to thy eternal glory, and my everlasting salvation, through Jesus Christ; in whose blessed name and words I sum up my imperfect prayer; saying, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
