PSALMS AND HYMNS OF PRAISE. Alleluia! Not as orphans Can we feel that Thou art near us And wilt hear us?

Are we left in sorrow now; Alleluia!

He is near us,

Yea, we can.

Faith believes, nor questions how., Though the clouds from sight received Him

Yea, we know Thy love rejoices O'er each work of Thine; Thou didst ears and hands and voices For Thy praise combine; Craftsman's art and music's measure For Thy pleasure Didst design.

When the forty days were o'er, Shall our hearts forget His promise, " I am with you evermore"? Alleluia! Bread of heaven,

Thou on earth our food, our stay; Alleluia! Here the sinful

Flee to Thee from day to day. Intercessor, Friend of sinners,

Earth's Redeemer, plead for me, Where the songs of all the sinless Sweep across the crystal sea. Alleluia, sing to Jesus!

His the sceptre, His the throne. Alleluia! Hís the triumph, His the victory alone. Hark, the songs of holy Zion Thunder like a mighty flood; " Jesus, out of every nation, Hath redeem'd us by His Blood.'

Amen,

557 WHEN all Thy mercies, O my My rising soul surveys,[ God, Transported the view, I'm lost In wonder, love, and praise. Unnumber'd comforts to my soul Thy tender care bestow'd, Before my infant heart conceived From whom these comforts flow'd.

When worn with sickness, oft hast

Thou

With health renew'd my face; And, when in sins and sorrows sunk, Revived my soul with grace.

Ten thousand thousand precious gifts My daily thanks employ; Nor is the least a cheerful heart, That tastes those gifts with joy. Through every period of my life Thy goodness I'll pursue: And after death in distant worlds, The glorious theme renew. Through all eternity to Thee A joyful song I'll raise: For oh! eternity's too short To utter all Thy praise. Amen.

558 ANGEL Voices ever singing

Round Thy throne of lightAngel harps for ever ringing, Rest not day nor night; Thousands only live to bless Thee, And confess Thee, Lord of might.

Thou, who art beyond the farthest Mental eye can scan,

Can it be that Thou regardest Songs of sinful man?

559 REJOICE, the Lord is King,

Your Lord and King adore, Mortals, give thanks and sing, And triumph evermore: Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.

Jesus the Saviour reigns,

The God of truth and love; When He had purged our stains, He took His seat above.

Lift up your heart, lift up your voice;

Rejoice, again I say, rejoice.

He sits at God's right hand, Till all His foes submit, And bow to His command, And fall beneath His feet. Lift up your heart, lift up your voice; Rejoice, again I say, rejoice. Rejoice in glorious hope; Jesus the Judge shall come, And take His servants up To their eternal home.[ voice, We soon shall hear the archangel's The trump of God shall sound, Rejoice. Amen.
