77.77.

I cry unto Thee daily.- Psa. 86. 3.

1 BLESSED Jesus, meek and mild, Stoop to hear a little child; At Thy feet I come to pray; Saviour, cast me not away.

INFANTS' WORSHIP: PRAYER.

2 Take away my load of sin, Make me clean and pure within; Teach me all I need to know, Be my Shepherd here below.

3 In my childhood may I be Gentle, meek, and pure, like Thee; Help me every sin to leave, Lest Thy loving heart I grieve.

4 Tender Jesus, Thou didst call To Thine arms the children small; Lo! I come, and humbly pray, Saviour, cast me not away.

And they brought unto Him also infants.Luke 18. 15.

1 YOUNG ehildren once to Jesus came His blessing to entreat;

And I may humbly do the same Before His mercy- seat.

2 For when their feeble hands were spread, And bent each infant knee,

" Forbid them not!" the Saviour said, And so He says to me.

3 Well pleased these little ones to see, The dear Redeemer smiled;

Oh, then He will not frown on me, A poor unworthy child!

4 If babes, so many years ago, His tender pity drew,

He will not, surely, let me go Without a blessing too.

5 Then while, this favour to implore, My youthful hands are spread, Do Thou Thy sacred blessing pour, Dear Jesus, on my head.

I am but a little child.- 1 Kings 3. 7.

1 GENTLE Jesus, meek and mild, Look upon a little child; Pity my simplicity,

Help me, Lord, to come to Thee.

2 Fain I would to Thee be brought, Gracious God, forbid it not; In the kingdom of Thy grace Give a little child a place.

3 Oh, supply my every want: Feed the young and tender plant; Day and night my keeper be: Every moment watch round me. C. WESLEY.

Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered.- Heb. 5. 8.

1 0 LORD, the children come to Thee,

For Thou the children's life didst share, Its thoughts and feelings Thou didst know, And Thou wilt hear the children's prayer.

2 We thank Thee for our loving homes, For daily mercies ever new; But much we need Thy love within, To keep us grateful, pure, and true.

3 We know not all Thy wondrous truth, It often seems beyond our powers; But this we know, Thou callest us

To serve Thee in our youthful hours.

4 Should friends around be friends indeed, And yearn in us Thy grace to see, Lord, we would strive from love to them, But most of all from love to Thee.

5 But should our lot with those be cast Who grieve Thy heart and spurn Thy will,

Teach us in holiness to walk,

And patiently to serve Thee still.

6 We cannot see the way we take, Its snares are hid, its griefs unknown; But since Thou art a life- long Friend, We shall not meet our foes alone.

7 And when the days of youth are gone, And life grows full of toil and care, In Thy dear presence may we have The answer to our childhood's prayer! F. W. GOADBY.

Who art the children's Friend, Hear Thou our grateful praises, While at Thy feet we bend;
