2 Far he may be straying
From the Leavenly fold,
Vet the tender Shepherd, With a love untold
And a great compassion Filling all His mind,
Will be following after, Seeking till He find.
3 Ah! no heart can harden
S0 He cannot teach;
And no sheep can wander Where He cannot reach:
80 I keep on praying Wheresoe'er he be
Bring him home, Good Shepherd; Bring him back with Thee.

4„Let Thy voice of merey
Once more bid him eome;
In the far-off country Send a wish for home;
Let some sweet home-pieture Pass before his eves,
Till his lips shall falter, Lord, Iwill arise!““
5 May the bells of heaven
Ring for him with joy;
May rejoicing angels
mile upon my boy;
May the Father meet him Coming back alone,
Saying, Loved and lost one, Welcome, welcome home!“
