To John Ayrton, of Weſt-hall, for the beſt general ſtock of cattle, a ſilver cup, Value five guineas. To George N-wiham, of Bolton, for the greateſt number of(ten) legiti- mate children brought up withcut parith relief, two guinecas. To Mr. Robert Watſon, of Berw.ck-hall, for rhe beit long-horned bull, 2 ſilver cup, value five guincas. "TVo George Wright, elq. cf Hornby-caftle, for the beit long-horned beiferz 2 liver cup, value three guineas. To William Sanderſon, elq. of Hining, fer the beſt two years old ram, ofthe improved lowland breed, a filver cup, value three guineas. To the Rev. James Stainbank, of Scale-hall, for the bit fve ewes,; two years old, ot the improved lowland breed, a ſilver cup, value three guineas. The ſhew of cattle upon this vccahion promiſes the happielt conlequencess» particularly the exhibition of ſheep, which was much more numerous than any preceding year. In addition to the exhibition of the above premiums, there were allo(x different ſweepſtakes then ſhewn for and adjudged, which were again entered into for the next year, with two additional ſweepſtakes of a guinea each, for two years old colts and yearlings; all of which are lett open to ſubſcribers till the next O&ober meeting. Indeed the beneficial effe&s of this inſtitution, from the praiſe-worthy emulation of the many different candidates, become more conlpicuous every year; and the report of the inſpe&ors of the general progrels vf improvement in the culture of the country, will, it is hoped, be an inducement to the landowners and men of opulence in the giltiiet who are not yet ſubſcribers, to lend their aſliſt- ance to ſo laudable an undertaking. The new annual ſubſcribers to this ſociety are, EDMUXD THORNTON, R. TovLMINn NoRTH, and TpoMas EDMONDSON, elqrs. The nnder-mentioned premiums heretofore offered by this ſociety, were this day adjudged as follows: viz.

The premium, No. 10, for the year 1304, of a gold medal, or ten gui- Neas; for draining in the beſt manner the greateſt quantity of land, to Wal- ter Lloyd, eſq. of Keele-ha]ll.
