PLOUGHING MATCH.
On Tueſday the zth. the ploughing match under the patronage of the Bath Society took place near Radltock, in a field of very tiff loil. The candidates were Mr. Biliingſlev, Mr. Rodberd, and Mr. Ludlow, Mr. Bil. Jingſley*s man, with a two-furrowed plough, drawn by ſix oxen with a driver, completed his halt acre in one hour and thirty minutes. Mr. Lud- low, with a ſingle plough by two horſes, without a driver in two hours, eight minutes and a-balf; and Mr. Rodberd's with a light one wherled plough drawn by three horſes, with a driver in one hour fitty eight minutes. “The deciſion of the judges ranked Mr, Billingſley, as entitled to the firſt, Mr, Ludlow to the ſecond, and Mr. Rodberd to the thied premium-

The held ſelected for the purpoſe was an old French grals layer, the ſoil yery ſtiff and abounding with looſe Rones.
